JWCS Photo Exhibition Beautiful Wildlife The beauty of wildlife and the crisis
We will be opening a panel entitled ‘ Beautiful Wildlife and the Crisis ‘ with assistance from Minato Ward at Gallery Hiroo. (2nd Floor of Hiroo Plaza Bldg. the same building as MEIJIYA) The current state of poaching wild animals is becoming dire, and many species are on the brink of extinction. There is also the issue of wild animals being contained due to Japan's pet boom. NEW REPORT Destination Japan An investigation into the Osaka seizure and laundering of illegal ivory Exposing and closing loopholes in Japan’s ivory trade controls
JWCS conducted an independent investigation and published a new report. The report discusses the situation in Japan in relation to the internal ivory trade and provides recommendations to address the current inadequacies in the system. It also gives a detailed fact of the Osaka seizure, which was the largest Ivory Seizure in Japan.
